Hire fees

These rates apply from 1st September 2019. All bookings must include all set-up and clear-up time.  Bookings are made back to back in order to make maximum use of our facilities.

Chairs/Tables:
Residents 20p per chair

* Minimum hire: 1 hour; charged in 15 min increments
** Defined as an event finishing before 6pm where the majority of attendees are aged 12 or under and no alcohol is consumed.

Residents rate

Bookings by residents for private events. Minimum hire 1 hour, then in 15 min slots.

Community organisations and clubs

Bookings for clubs and classes by groups based in Little and Great Eversden. 10% discount for block bookings of 8 sessions or more. Minimum hire 1 hour, then in 15 min slots.

Charities

Bookings for registered charities. 10% discount for block bookings of 8 sessions or more. Minimum hire 1 hour, then in 15 min slots.

Non-residents rate

Individual bookings for non-residents. 10% discount for block bookings where fees are paid in advance. Minimum hire 1 hour, then in 15 min slots.

Commercial bookings

10% discount for block bookings of 8 sessions or more. Minimum hire 1 hour, then in 15 min slots.

Deposits

A security deposit against damage, or the hall being left in an unacceptable state will be required for all bookings for social functions unless the committee specifically decides otherwise. This will be refundable after inspection to ensure that the conditions of hiring have been observed. If the hall is left in an unacceptable condition (e.g. not cleaned) a £60 cleaning fee will be charged for professional cleaning of the hall.

Payment Methods

For commercial bookings and large events the deposit payment is required when you book.  For other bookings the deposit is due four weeks before your event. Full payment of hire fees is due four weeks before your event. Bank transfer is our preferred method of payment (we can take cheques and cash).

Groups working with children or vulnerable adults

Groups working with children or vulnerable adults will need to have Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult policies in place.
